1. Who we are
Sniper W.L.L. (CR 55377-11), Shop 2403, Road 66, Block 646, Bldg 1575, Al Nuwaidrat, Estiqlal Highway, Bahrain, is responsible for the personal data collected through this website. We handle it in line with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain (Law No. 30 of 2018).
2. What we collect
- Details you give us: name, email, phone number, company, and delivery addresses, when you order, create an account, or send an enquiry or documentation request.
- Orders: what you bought, prices, delivery method, payment status and loyalty points.
- Your cart: what you put in your cart, and the name, email and phone number you type on the checkout page (or that are on your account, when you are signed in) - kept even if you do not finish the order, so we can help you complete it. If you left items in your cart, or placed an order that was cancelled because it was not paid, we may send you up to three reminder emails with a link that puts the items back in your cart (one may include a discount code for you alone); they stop once you buy, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.
- Your account: your sign-in email and password. Passwords are stored only in a one-way encrypted form - nobody, including our staff, can read them.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages requested, used to keep the website secure and prevent fraud; and which link or advert brought you to the site, saved with your order.
- Payments: card, BENEFIT and Apple Pay payments are entered on the secure page of our payment provider, Tap Payments. We do not receive or store your card number; we receive only the payment result and reference. If you choose to pay in instalments with Tabby or Flooss, we give them your name, contact details and the order amount (for Flooss, the mobile number of your Flooss account, which Flooss texts a code to), and they decide on and collect the instalments under their own terms and privacy policy.
3. How we use it
- to process, deliver and support your orders, and to take payment and give refunds;
- to run your account and loyalty points;
- to send emails about your orders and account, and to answer your enquiries;
- to keep the website secure and prevent fraud;
- to keep the records that Bahrain law requires for commercial and tax purposes;
- to send you offers only if you have agreed to receive them - you can stop them at any time.
We use your data because we need it to fulfil our contract with you, to meet our legal obligations, for our legitimate interest in running a secure shop, or with your consent.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the companies that help us serve you, and only what they need: delivery and courier companies, our payment providers (Tap Payments; Tabby or Flooss when you choose them), our email and hosting providers, and authorities when the law requires it. We never sell your personal data. Some of these providers may process data outside Bahrain; where they do, we use providers that protect it to a standard consistent with Bahrain law.
5. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Bahrain law requires for commercial and tax records. Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer and follow them up.
6. Cookies and similar technology
- Essential cookies keep you signed in (
sniper_sid,sniper_in). The site cannot work without them. - Your browser's storage keeps your cart, language, currency and delivery country on your own device.
- Other services: maps on the contact page (Google Maps), fonts (Google Fonts), embedded videos (YouTube, privacy-enhanced mode) and, where offered on a product page, the virtual try-on service load from their providers, who may set their own cookies.
- Advertising measurement: the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the TikTok Pixel record which pages are viewed, what is added to the cart and completed purchases, so we can measure and improve our ads. When you type your email or phone number on our site - for example on the checkout page - while you are signed in to your account, and when you buy, we also send Meta and TikTok your email and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form, so your visit and your purchase can be matched to the ad you saw. They are scrambled before they leave your device or our server, so Meta and TikTok never receive your actual email address or phone number. The pages viewed and what is added to the cart also reach them from our server, with a random code for your browser (not your name), so they are counted even when a browser blocks the pixels. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok settings.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You can update most details yourself in your account. To make a request, email info@snipershopping.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority in Bahrain.
8. Security
The website uses HTTPS encryption throughout, passwords are stored encrypted, and access to customer data is limited to the staff who need it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
